Over 126 years of dedication, service and committment make Lyons Insurance & Real Estate the best choice for your insurance and real estate needs. Our family owned business was established in 1886, and was then purchased in the early 1940's by Margaret Lyons. Ted Lyons joined the agency after serving in World War II. In 1981, Ted's son Mike joined the business marking the third generation of Lyons who have committed their careers to serving families, just like yours.

Mike Lyons

Mike has over 22 years experience as a licensed property & casualty and life & health insurance agent. He is past president of the Richmond Insurance Association and is a managing partner of the Wayne County Insurance Service. Mike also holds a real estate brokers license and appraisal license, with an SRA designation. He graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He lives in Richmond with his wife Denita and three children.

Christy Kenworthy

Christy joined Lyons in 2001. She is licensed in Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance, as well as Life and Health Insurance. She studied business at Indiana University East, serves as the Financial Manager for the Wayne County Insurance Service, and is a member of the Richmond Independent Insurance Agents. She has partnered with Mr. Lyons, sharing his commitment to providing our clients financial protection from unexpected losses.
